Manual and Movement Therapist

After a 30-year career as a dance, circus and martial artist, Alisoun transitioned her extensive knowledge of the moving body into a career as a manual and movement therapist. Her personal interest in body-mind practices that include the energetic, mental and emotional components, as well as the physical aspects of a human being come into play for a unique blend of skills and sensibilities.

Alisoun Payne has been working professionally in massage since 2015, and has a diploma from the Vancouver School of Healing Arts Spa Therapy Program, a certificate of Thai Massage from the Nan Community College in Thailand, Integrated Fascial Therapy from KineConcept in Montreal, QC, and Lomi Lomi from Sacred Lomi in CA, USA. She currently offers manual therapy as a CMT (Certified Massage Therapist), and teaches yoga and qigong.

She brings together practices and techniques drawn from Dance, Pilates, Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Feldenkreis, Chinese Medecine, Auyerveda, and knowledge from the Tom Myers method of Anatomy Trains, as well as functional anatomy, to develop comprehensive programs for self-care.
